Christ the King Cathedral is the first Church that was constructed in Mizoram. Therefore, it has its own significance and importance. When the Episcopal is shifted from Silchar to Aizawl this becomes the Cathedral. Many things that we mention about the Parish are included under Christ the King.
Read MoreSt. Peter’s Church, Silaimual is located at Silaimual below Trinity Hospital. There was one family by name Mr. Peter Thlahaia and his family in this area. Since the distance is a bit far for them to come and attend the Church services at Cathedral, they donated some of their land for the Church. So, with the initiatives of Christ the King Church in collaboration with Parish Pastoral Council construction of the Church is done there. After the completion of the Church’s construction it was blessed and inaugurated on 22 nd December 2018. The Church is named as St. Peter’s Church.

With his support the local catechist stayed there and carry on the evangelisation work. The number of faithful increases as the years passed by. Mr. Dominic Lalhmangaiha donated a land for construction of the Church and the Parish also bought few lands along this land so that the Church can be constructed. The construction work of the Church goes on and was completed on 2008. Most. Rev. Stephen Rotluanga, CSC blessed and inaugurated the Church on 20th April 2008. The Church is named St. Thomas Church, but later in 2023 the name is changed into St. Dominic’s Church.
Read MoreThe initiative taken by Parish Mission filed bear fruit in Muallungthu village. Few members joined the Catholic faith. This in return results in buying a land and construction of the Church with the initiatives of Parish Pastoral Council and the generous contribution of the faithful from different corners. The construction work of the Church began on November 2010. It was completed and was blessed and inaugurated by Rev. Fr. V.A. Paul the Parish Priest on 30th January 2011. A floor below the Church is prepared for the sisters to stay and carry on their mission work. They stayed there for quite a long time. Now, this floor is used as the Church’s kitchen and meeting room.

They have a vibrant community there.

Since the distance is quite far they are adviced to have their own Church service from 12th January 2023 onwards. A land is bought and the Church is constructed and was inaugurated on 7th October 2005. When the Church becomes old it was demolished and constructed a new Church in RCC building. The new Church was blessed and inaugurated on 7th October 2019.

Since the distance is a bit far and the number of faithful living in those areas increases, they feel the need of having a separate Church there. With the consent of the Parish Priest on 22nd January 2006 they started having their own Church service there in Khatla. They rented the house of Mrs. Veronica Nui and have the service there. Later on they find a larger house for rent and continue the Church services there which they used till today.

By the grace of God they got a place and started constructing the Church there. Since 1990 they are able have services in their own Church. There are many people who are instrumental in having the Church there. The main leaders are Mr. Lawrence Rualkhuma, Mr. Jerome Sawilaia, Mr. Patrick Pazawna and Mr. Paul Thangzika.
