ABOUT AN ORGANIZATION
Zoram Entu Pawl (ZEP) is a non-profit, non-political and Charitable Social Development Organisation, founded by the Catholic Church in Mizoram. It is registered under the Societies Registration (Extension to Mizoram) Act, 1976 (Mizoram Act No. 3 of 1977) having a Regn. No. of SR. MZ – 15 0f 2004 – 05. ZEP is serving the population of Mizoram without any bias to caste, creed, religion and linguistic groups.
Zoram entu Pawl aims to bring about a Right based approach to development keeping millennium development goals in mind, in order to uplift the rural and urban poor. ZEP is committed to working for a just and sustainable development. ZEP works and networks with civil society groups, NGO’s, partner-networks, civil societies and grass-root organizations to enable the marginalized people to have a dignified and qualitative life.
VISION
They visualize a society where human potential finds meaningful expression to be self-reliant in an environment of equal opportunity for both men and women in peace, justice and unity through a spirit of “TLAWMNGAIHNA” (traditional value of self-sacrifice in Mizo society).
MISSION
Their mission is to empower the youth, women and vulnerable people following a Right Based Approach by capacity building through people’s organization, networking with like-minded organization and Government agencies.
